1. Wednesday 01/01/2020.
So, the new regime starts.
Not like a fascist style regime, but the regime of trying to write a post, for this blog, every day.
So yesterday was new year’s day.
The start of a new decade, year and month.
We are now supposed to be in the roaring 20’s.
I’m assuming as we are only 1 or two days in, depending on when I post this and you read it, it’s too early to tell?
Our new year’s day was mainly spent hanging around together.
It’s what we do best.
I’m not mentioning anything about Christmas (it was good), as that’s long gone now, too private for social media, and I really can’t be arsed to try and remember stuff from last week.
Thebeansooonerswife starts her new job on Thursday.
She’s still going to be a geek, bless her, bit this time for a company who seem to have their shit together more, and seem a bit more progressive in all aspects of there company.
So part of our day was spent sorting all her paper work out, and making sure she had all of her stuff together to take with her.
She’s travelling from our home to her new job via train, once there she will get her new company van and all the other weird shit she needs to collect, so she can do her job!
We got up late to start off with (staying up well past 12 midnight the night before really does have a knock on effect these days).
We pottered, and then like I’ve just said, sorted bits and bobs out for her trip the following day.
We also packed away and stored the Christmas decorations and tree(!), another random tradition we do on the 1st of the year!
Magoo was in an odd mood. He was tired, and by the looks of it, bored and anxious, but neither of us could work out why.
I think he’s just tired in general, worried about mom not being around for the last 2 days of his holiday, and also anxious about going back to school, as he has a previous teacher taking over his class, when he goes back.
I’m sure there will be more on this.
After pottering and faffing for the afternoon, we decided to pop down to the quayside near where we live, to watch the village Christmas lights get turned on.
Our village has world famous lights…..
I’m not going into details….just Google ‘Mousehole Christmas lights’.
It should tell and show you it all!
But it was nice.
A little chilly, crowded with people waiting for the lights to turn in, while relishing in the last few days of there holiday break.
For us, it was just an evening stroll!
Now, Magoo is currently 8 years of age.
He is a boy. He has the sarcastic range of a 45 year old middled aged man, who is newly divorced, single, with 2 kids that he shares with his younger wife who has currently moved in with her younger and fitter yoga instructor!
Bluntly, he’s a bit of a cock!
I’m in the rest of the week with him. So Thursday and Friday it is just the two of us. This should be fun!
